Because of a massively uncooperative thyroid, my hair is very, very thin. For years, I have worn it in a pixie cut and covered my head with a wig. I have several, all the same color as my own hair, and all the same length, but styled differently.
Wednesday morning, I took my shower, gathered my knitting supplies and the dog and, because it was so hot and my head was still wet, didn’t bother to put on a wig.
Several people mentioned that I had gotten my hair cut short. “Is that just for the summer?”
Like the Tar Baby in Bre’r Rabbit, I just didn’t say anything at all.
I could use any advice on where to get wigs that don’t cost a fortune, yet look close to it. Same issue–thyroid.
I use either Paula Young, or Thewigcompany.com. I do like the Wig Company better. They both have sales when you can get a really nice looking wig for about $30.
I once forgot the name of the first company and remembered it as “Paula Jordan”. Found a link, which said something about “ladylike”. Well, that’s me – ladylike to my finger tips (choke), so I clicked on it.
It was a site for cross dressers! You never saw somebody back out of a website so fast in your life!
Oh, you are too hilarious!!! But thanks–I’ve seen the Paula Young catalogs, I’m sure–and $30 would be do-able. I’ll remember the name, lest I walk into the wrong “store”–eeeek!! God bless you BIG–love, sis Caddo
Well, let’s just say it was “educational” and leave it at that.
