The Amazing Flying Woman

6 Mar

Saturday I tried to see if I could fly.   I can’t.

As I was coming down the stairs, my foot slipped on the carpet on the fourth or fifth step from the bottom and I went sailing.

I landed on my side on the floor. Missed the carpet, of course. A huge bruise on my cheek, and my ribs are sore – I probably only bruised them, but there is nothing to be done with ribs in any event.

The Squire was at the “Y”, but Blazer came over and helped. Stuck his nose in my face, whuffling and snuffling to see if there was anything he could do.  Dagnabbit, dog, but it hurts when I laugh!

If nothing else, we can be sure I don’t suffer from osteoporosis.

Ouch!!!! I hope you’re mending!! (If it makes you feel any better….I lost my balance in the bathroom 2 weeks ago, went to grab onto the towel rack and fell into my glass basket and onto the edge of my toilet….My Doctor questioned me on “spousal abuse” when I was there with my pneumonia issues….if it didn’t hurt so much to laugh, it woulda cracked me up!!!)

Seriously, I hope you’re doing ok….take care!!!! (((HUGS)))

My ribs are still sore, but upon more sober reflection, it is obvious that I was VERY lucky. I was alone in the house, The Squire wasn’t due back for about an hour, and if I had broken anything, I’d have been in a world of trouble. Sometimes, the best our guardian angel can do is keep things from being worse than they are.

Hope you are doing better, too!
